Steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Show or hide IMAP folders:
In Outlook, go to File > Info > Account Settings > Account Settings.
Select the IMAP account and click Change.
    Click on More Settings.
Under the Folders tab, you can choose which folders to show or hide.
You can click on Update Folder List to make sure Outlook has the most recent information from the server.

  2. Synchronize IMAP folders:
In Outlook, right-click your IMAP account in the folder pane.
    Select IMAP Folders.
Click Query to see all available folders on the server.
Select the folders you want to sync and click Subscribe.
If a folder doesn’t appear, make sure it's set to show in IMAP in your email provider’s settings (e.g., Gmail).

  3. Update the folder list:
In the navigation pane, right-click the root folder of your IMAP account.
    Select Update Folder List.
    Disable "Show only subscribed folders":
If the option "When displaying hierarchy in Outlook, show only subscribed folders" is enabled, disable it to view all folders.
    Go to Send/Receive > Send/Receive Groups > Define Send/Receive Groups.
Select the send/receive group and click Edit.
Uncheck the option "When displaying hierarchy in Outlook, show only subscribed folders".
